Black Friday Power Station Deals (2026): How to Tell a Real Discount From a Fake One
Affiliate disclosure: This post contains affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Product picks were chosen on the merits — no brand pays for placement.
How we evaluated: WildJoule has not bench-tested these units. This guide uses Amazon’s published reference-price rules, manufacturer spec pages and press coverage of past sales. We deliberately show no prices: they change hourly in November, and a number printed here would be wrong by the time you read it.
Most Black Friday power station listings will show a big red percentage. Some of those discounts are real, and some are measured against a price almost nobody paid. The useful skill isn’t finding the biggest number; it’s knowing which units actually drop, what the “was” price means, and when a cheap older model is a trap. Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, November 27, with Cyber Monday on November 30, and the brand sales usually open a week or more before that.
WildJoule verdict
Decide the size you need before the sale, then track two or three candidates now so you know their normal price. The best Black Friday power station deals are usually on current LiFePO4 models in the 1–2 kWh class (DELTA 3 Plus, Anker C1000 Gen 2, Jackery 1000 v2, DELTA 3 Max, Anker C2000 Gen 2). The deepest percentage cuts tend to land on outgoing models, which are only a good buy if the spec still fits. Skip anything with NMC cells and a short cycle rating, no matter how cheap.
A quick honesty note: I haven’t bought a power station on Black Friday and run it through an outage. What I’ve done is read Amazon’s pricing rules, track how these brands have discounted in past years, and line that up against specs. When power at home isn’t something you can take for granted, overpaying for the wrong box stings twice, so this is the checklist I’d use myself.
How a Black Friday power station “was” price works on Amazon
Amazon says its Was Price is the median price customers paid over the previous 90 days, excluding prices paid during limited-time deals. Half of buyers paid less, half paid more. That’s more honest than a manufacturer’s list price, which can sit far above anything anyone actually pays. From May 18, 2026, Amazon tightened the rule: if a product spent more than half of those 90 days below its non-promotional median, the Was Price is calculated using all sales, promotions included. In plain terms, a unit that is “on sale” most of the time can no longer claim a fat discount against a price it rarely charged.
Two things still trip people up. First, a “List Price” strike-through is not the same as a Was Price, and list prices on power stations are often far above street price. Second, a 90-day median can be inflated if the unit launched recently at full price. So treat the badge as a hint, not proof. A price-history tracker (Keepa and camelcamelcamel both chart Amazon listings) shows you the actual lows from earlier sales like Prime Day.
| Label you see | What it actually means | How much to trust it |
|---|---|---|
| Was Price | 90-day median paid on Amazon, deal prices excluded (rules tightened May 2026) | Fairly good; still check history on new launches |
| List Price | Manufacturer or seller suggested price | Weak; often never the real selling price |
| Coupon checkbox | Extra discount applied at checkout | Real, but tick it and confirm in the cart |
| Bundle “savings” | Station plus panel priced against both list prices | Weak; price the parts separately |
Which units historically get discounted
Press roundups of the 2025 Black Friday sales showed a clear pattern. The largest percentage cuts went to previous-generation models being cleared out, such as the original EcoFlow DELTA 2 and DELTA Pro, while current models like Bluetti’s Elite 200 V2 hit what retailers called historic lows with smaller percentages. Jackery ran its own Black Friday event from November 20 to 28, 2025, and the other big brands (EcoFlow, Anker SOLIX, Bluetti) ran site-wide sales alongside Amazon. Nothing guarantees 2026 repeats that, but it’s the pattern to plan around.
What this means for you: the flashiest Black Friday power station deal is often an older unit. That can be a great buy if it’s LiFePO4 and the output fits your loads. It’s a poor one if it’s NMC (often rated around 500–800 cycles versus 3,000–4,000 for LiFePO4), charges slowly, or is about to lose app and firmware support. Our Goal Zero Yeti 1500X review walks through exactly that trade-off on a discontinued NMC unit.
Black Friday power station shortlist: current models worth watching
These are current LiFePO4 units with specs we have verified against manufacturer pages. Track them now so you know their normal price before November. If you need help picking a size first, start with watt-hours explained or the portable power station buying guide.
| Unit | Capacity | AC output | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus | 1,024 Wh (to 2,048 Wh) | 1,800 W | Home UPS for a modem, fridge, CPAP |
| Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 | 1,024 Wh | 2,000 W (3,000 W peak) | Highest output in the 1 kWh class |
| Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 | 1,070 Wh | 1,500 W (3,000 W surge) | Camping and light backup, simple app |
| EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max | 2,048 Wh | 2,400 W (4,800 W surge) | Fridge plus essentials for a day |
| Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 | 2,048 Wh | 2,400 W (4,000 W peak) | 2 kWh at 41.7 lb, 800 W solar |
All figures are manufacturer-stated. The 1 kWh units are compared head to head in Anker C1000 Gen 2 vs EcoFlow Delta 3 Plus, and the Delta 3 Plus review and Explorer 1000 v2 review go deeper on each.
Six checks before you buy any Black Friday power station
1. Chemistry and cycle rating. LiFePO4 with 3,000+ cycles to 80% is the baseline now. If the listing hides the chemistry, assume it isn’t LiFePO4.
2. The model generation. “C1000” and “C1000 Gen 2” are different products with near-identical listings (1,056 Wh / 1,800 W versus 1,024 Wh / 2,000 W). Read the title twice.
3. Output versus your biggest load. A cheap 2 kWh unit is useless if your well pump or microwave pulls more than its inverter. Check the surge rating too.
4. Bundles. A station-plus-panel bundle is only a deal if the panel is one you’d choose anyway. Price the station alone, then the panel alone.
5. Seller and warranty. Buy from the brand’s own Amazon storefront or Amazon itself. Third-party resellers can complicate a 5-year warranty claim.
6. Return window. Amazon usually extends holiday return windows into January. Open the box, charge it to full and test your real loads before that window closes.
What to skip, even at a great price
Skip unbranded units that list peak watts in giant type and bury the continuous rating. Skip “solar generators” under 300 Wh sold as home backup; they run a modem and router, not a fridge. And skip buying bigger than you need just because the percentage is bigger. A 2 kWh unit you carry once a year is worse than a 1 kWh one you actually use. For sizing a real outage plan, see home battery backup sizing and our best home backup power station picks. If budget is the limit, best power station under 500 dollars and best power station under 1000 dollars sort the field by price tier.

Frequently asked questions
When is Black Friday 2026?
Friday, November 27, 2026. Cyber Monday is November 30. Brand and Amazon sales typically start a week or more earlier.
Is Black Friday the cheapest time to buy a power station?
It’s one of the cheapest windows, alongside Prime Day and Amazon’s October event. Check a price-history chart: if a unit hit the same low in July, there’s no need to rush.
Should I buy an older model on a deep discount?
Only if it’s LiFePO4, the output covers your loads, and the warranty is intact. Avoid discontinued NMC units with low cycle ratings.
Why doesn’t WildJoule list Black Friday prices?
Prices change constantly during the sale and Amazon’s rules discourage static prices. The buttons take you to the live listing.
