EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max Plus Review (2026): 3,000W and 1,000W Solar From One 2kWh Box

How we evaluated: WildJoule has not bench-tested this unit. Specs come from EcoFlow’s US product listing (checked October 25, 2026) and an EcoFlow dealer spec sheet (SolarTown, model EFD3MP-US). The measured usable capacity and UPS timing are StorageReview’s test results (published September 30, 2025), credited as theirs. We couldn’t confirm an Amazon listing for this exact model, so the button goes to EcoFlow. Runtime figures are our estimates.
This EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max Plus review covers model EFD3MP-US: a 2,048 Wh LiFePO4 power station with 3,000 W continuous output (6,000 W surge, 3,800 W X-Boost), 1,000 W of solar input across two ports, 1,800 W wall charging, and expansion from 2 to 10 kWh. It weighs 48.7 lb. The “Plus” matters. Next to the plain DELTA 3 Max it adds 600 W of output, doubles the solar input, and gets a real expansion path. Output is still 120 V only.
Quick verdict
Buy it if you want one 2 kWh unit that can carry a heavy 120 V load (a 1,800 W space heater plus a fridge, or a microwave plus a coffee maker), charge seriously from solar, and grow toward 10 kWh later. Skip it if you need 240 V for a well pump or dryer. Look at the Bluetti Apex 300 or the DELTA Pro 3. Skip it as well if you’ll carry it often. The Anker C2000 Gen 2 is 7 lb lighter.
I’ll say it plainly: I don’t own a DELTA 3 Max Plus, and I haven’t run one through a storm. I’ve just spent a lot of hours reading spec sheets for units like this, because when the grid near you is unreliable, the gap between 2,400 W and 3,000 W is the gap between running the kettle or not. What’s below is EcoFlow’s numbers, one lab’s measurements, and what they add up to.
EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max Plus review: specs at a glance
| Spec | DELTA 3 Max Plus (EFD3MP-US) | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Capacity | 2,048 Wh LFP | StorageReview measured 1.64 kWh out (about 80%) |
| Cycle life | EcoFlow quotes “10 years”; no cycle count published | Hard to compare with brands that list cycles |
| AC output | 3,000 W continuous, 6,000 W surge, 3,800 W X-Boost; 120 V | X-Boost lowers voltage for resistive loads; motors need the real 3,000 W |
| Outlets | Four 20A (NEMA 5-20) AC on the front, 140 W USB-C plus smaller USB ports, 12 V outputs | Sources disagree on secondary USB wattages; check the listing |
| Wall charging | 1,800 W, 0–80% in 64 min | EcoFlow quotes 43 min to 80% via its Smart Generator |
| Solar | 1,000 W total, 2× XT60, 11–60 V each | Two separate arrays, e.g. one roof, one ground |
| Expansion | 2–10 kWh with extra batteries (adapter needed for some) | The plain DELTA 3 Max’s US listing is less clear on this |
| UPS | Under 10 ms claimed; StorageReview measured 8 ms | PC-safe for most machines |
| Weight / size / warranty | 48.7 lb (22.1 kg); 494 × 242 × 305 mm; 3 years + 2 with app registration | A two-hand carry |
What 3,000 W gets you that 2,400 W doesn’t
Most 2 kWh stations stop at 2,400 W. That extra 600 W is the reason to buy the Plus. It means a 1,500 W space heater and a 150 W fridge at the same time with headroom, or a 1,200 W microwave while the fridge compressor kicks on. A 6,000 W surge rating also covers larger compressor starts, such as a chest freezer and a fridge cycling together.
Using StorageReview’s 1.64 kWh measured output, our estimates: a 60 W-average fridge runs about 27 hours; a fridge plus router and lights (about 100 W) roughly 16 hours; a 1,500 W space heater about an hour. That last one is the reality check. The output is big but the tank is still 2 kWh. Heavy loads drain it fast. Our runtime guide walks through your own loads.
Solar and charging
1,000 W of solar across two 11–60 V inputs is the other real upgrade. The plain DELTA 3 Max takes 500 W. In strong sun 1,000 W can refill the measured 1.64 kWh in roughly two hours. Two inputs also mean you can run two smaller arrays pointed in different directions. The wide voltage window works with both 12 V-class folding panels and series strings.
From the wall it pulls 1,800 W and reaches 80% in 64 minutes, per EcoFlow. EcoFlow’s faster 43-minute figure uses its own Smart Generator’s higher-power input, which most buyers won’t have.
EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max Plus review: the trade-offs
No 240 V. EcoFlow’s 240 V route is the DELTA Pro 3 or linking hardware. A single DELTA 3 Max Plus won’t run a 240 V well pump. See our split-phase guide for why that matters.
Usable capacity came in at about 80%. StorageReview got 1.64 kWh out of a 2,048 Wh battery. That’s a normal-to-low figure for this class once inverter losses are counted. Plan around 1.6 kWh, not 2.
No published cycle rating. EcoFlow says “10 years” instead of a cycle count. Anker and Bluetti publish 4,000 and 6,000 cycles. EcoFlow’s chemistry is LFP, so durability should be fine, but you can’t compare the claims directly.
Weight. 48.7 lb is fine on a shelf and awkward up stairs.
DELTA 3 Max Plus vs DELTA 3 Max vs Anker C2000 Gen 2
| DELTA 3 Max Plus | DELTA 3 Max | Anker C2000 Gen 2 | |
|---|---|---|---|
| AC output | 3,000 W | 2,400 W | 2,400 W |
| Solar | 1,000 W (2 inputs) | 500 W | 800 W (above 28 V) |
| Max capacity | 10 kWh | Check listing | 5,120 Wh |
| RV outlet | None seen | None | TT-30R |
| Weight | 48.7 lb | About 44.8 lb | 41.7 lb |
If you don’t need the extra output or solar, the DELTA 3 Max is the same battery with less inverter. RV owners should weigh the Anker’s TT-30R. The older DELTA 2 Max also has two solar inputs, but only 2,400 W. More 2 kWh options are in the best 2kWh power station list. For home backup planning start with best home backup power station.
Where this EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max Plus review lands: the strongest 120 V-only 2 kWh station we’ve covered, for people who’ll actually use 3,000 W and 1,000 W of solar. If you won’t, you’re paying for headroom you don’t need.
Frequently asked questions
What’s the difference between the DELTA 3 Max and DELTA 3 Max Plus?
Same 2,048 Wh battery. The Plus has 3,000 W output instead of 2,400 W, 1,000 W of solar instead of 500 W, and EcoFlow lists expansion to 10 kWh.
Does the DELTA 3 Max Plus have 240 V?
No. It’s 120 V only. For 240 V look at the DELTA Pro 3 or a split-phase setup.
Can it work as a UPS for a computer?
EcoFlow claims under 10 ms and StorageReview measured 8 ms, which most desktop power supplies ride through. Test with your own machine before you rely on it.
Is this EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max Plus review hands-on?
No. It’s built from EcoFlow’s published specs and StorageReview’s measurements, each labelled.
